Here are some of the pros to owning a dog. Dogs are a protector for your home and due to their great hearing you will be notified when someone is on your property or even approaching the house. Dogs love your affection and due to this you can always give them a hug. They love to play and can be trained to do many tricks.

These are some of the cons to owning a dog. They can be expensive, not only when you purchase them but the vet as well. Both for general visits and but also sometimes the unexpected. If you are renting an apartment or a house you find it harder to find one that accepts a dog. Although walking a dog is good for your health, they still have to be walked in bad weather. Dogs can also bark at times that aren’t appropriate which can get annoying. Also, dogs can get sick.

All things being considered, dogs are definitely worth it, they will love you unconditionally. There have been a number of studies taken, they show that pet owners live longer.
