President Obama just released his birth certificate to the media. Rumors were spread that President Obama was not an American citizen. Rumors were spread that Obama was born in Kenya, where his father is from. Clearly this rumor would make him ineligible to be president.
The birth certificate shows that Barack Hussein Obama II was born on August 4, 1961 at Kapiolani Maternity and Gynecological hospital in Honolulu, Hawaii to Barack Hussein Obama, a 25-year old student and Stanley Ann Dunham who was 18 years old. The birth certificate included the signatures of the attending physician.
Regardless of President Obama’s birth certificate, people are still raising questions on if it real or not. Obama stated, that he has bigger and better things to be worrying about, and this is just a distraction that people shouldn’t even be worrying about.
Joseph Farah, chief executive of birther-orientated website WorldNetDaily.com, said on the site the document "raises as many questions as it answers".It is important to remember there are still dozens of other questions concerning this question of eligibility... concerning Barack Obama's parentage, his adoption, his citizenship status throughout his life and why he continues to cultivate a culture of secrecy around his life," he said.
