Government Control Related to Marxism

I found this interest about governmental control. How people’s ideas of government shape new ideas about government. Marxism is founded on a set of basic concepts involving an inherent class struggle, originating between workers and large business owners, namely the proletariat and bourgeoisie, respectively. The proletariat is a class of people defined as factory workers, while the bourgeoisie assumes the position of wealthy factory owners. The latter exploited the proletariat though their use of capitalism. For the bourgeoisie, capitalism was a means of creating overworked and underpaid workers. Nevertheless, workers eventually overpowered the system and created a communistic society. Vladimir Lenin expanded upon these proletariat insights and theories, broadening the focus to incorporate more than mere factories and factory workers. In the scope of this essay, Leninism will refer to the European exploitation of colonialism.

Marxism/Leninism was first implemented in Russia and carried over to Asia, where capitalist economics were not the resulting fruits of either of the governments of these countries. In a capitalistic economy, individuals create businesses for their own monetary purposes. Conversely, in a communistic economy, everyone is equal monetarily and otherwise. Marxism/Leninism states that big businesses guide governmental attention toward the favoring of monetary gains. Thus, when put in this situation, governments become less concerned with the protection of their people and more concerned with their financial profit.
