I watched the document about conflict. You can find this film at Documentary Film on Darfur (Available at: http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/darfur/). War is defined as conflict between to maximal social units. This film showed conflict but it wasn’t between to maximal social units.
This film talked about the conflict that occurred in Rwanda. Rwanda is located in the Sudan. Men and women were killed in Rwanda. The United Nation was deadlocked in whether to intervene or not intervene. China had oil reserves in Rwanda so they didn’t want to intervene. Finally the UN did intervene. Now we have mass genocide and rape in Darfur and little effort are being taken to counteract this activity.
