Super Size Me

Food Production has changed over the years. American society has seen many changes in food production. As first there were Native America’s who used mixed production. American were hunters and gathers while some were horticulturist. Now Americans Food productions have massively increased what we do and don’t consume. We have an increase of food production. We also have moved to mix production. This has caused the rise of Fast Food Industries.

More and more Americans are eating fast food. This has had negative effects on our culture. Food is no longer a major concern for most people, they can find a grocery store and fast food places on every corner. The movie Super-Size ME follows and American man Morgan Spurlock. Spurlock is convinced that MacDonald’s is selling unhealthy food.

For thirty days he eats only MacDonald’s. Also he has to have his meal supersized. People the experiment Spurlock is considered to be of average fitness. Afterwards he is overweight and out of shape. This could be explained by the fact that human eating habits are changing and they no longer have to hunt and gather in order to have food.
