Inuit

The Inuit have become a very adaptive culture. Due to extreme temperatures and location the Inuit were forced to become adaptive to circumstances. Because of their location, there is a scarce amount of building materials. But because of their ingenuity, they used their resources and came up with a plan for their homes. Snow. The Inuit use snow and ice block to build their homes during the cold winter months of the artic. During the summer months, they use animal hides to make a tent like structure.

I couldn’t imagine living in these circumstances. As a kid I built snow forts but often became very cold and went into my heated house. I think this is a perfect example of how people and cultures are forced to adapt to their surroundings.
